Boredom is a HUGE, MASSIVE, UNDER-DISCUSSED aspect of what people go through when they quit drinking.

You probably uncovered it when you were doing the CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis) on Days 16 & 17. It is a major red-flag for potential relapse too.

Boredom is a Relapse Warning Sign

As I mentioned a little earlier in the course, your serotonin and dopamine receptors are probably going to be a little whacked out for awhile after you’ve stopped drinking. Hence, boredom will be even more of a challenge for you. So today, we’re going to get into action and start uncovering things you used to love. Old hobbies. Skills you’d like to learn but have never taken action to put them on your schedule. Have you turned into a boring adult? Most of us have. Well, it’s time to shed that boring persona and rediscover old joys or uncover some new ones! Art, music, language, hiking, museums, movies, gardening, skating, road trips, animal rescue, travel…. start to brainstorm ways to be a dynamic, exciting adult…. not a boring drunk one.
