If you want self-esteem, do something esteem-able

If you’re anything like me, you have a long list of regrets from your drinking days. Arguments, things you did or didn’t do, broken relationships, lost clients, disappointments and sheer terrors you’ve caused people with your behaviors… the list goes on and on. It becomes very difficult to stop thinking poorly of ourselves and get back our self-respect and dignity. But you have to get it back. It’s crucial.

So, in order to start building back our self-esteem, we’re going to think of some “esteem-able” acts we can do. Think of it as trusting in yourself again, in micro-increments. Micro-trust. Start small and build. You’ll get it back. We’ll go over some ideas of ways to do this in today’s lesson.
